If you’re into cryptids, buckle up. This episode is one of the most raw, hyper-realistic, and emotionally gut-wrenching Dogman accounts I’ve heard in a long time.
Victor from the Atlanta, Georgia area (Monroe/Bethlehem/Winder) steps outside for a cigarette one night around 2:30 AM… and his world gets turned upside down. What starts as a heavy thud on the roof that shakes the whole house like an earthquake quickly spirals into three nights of pure terror. The way he describes the overwhelming dread, the hairs standing up, the internal battle between “run inside” and “what the hell is that?” — it’s visceral. You feel the sinking, pulling-down weight of fear in his voice.
The details are incredibly specific and believable: the creature on all fours like a massive dog on the roof, those bright amber-orange eyes locking onto his, then it rising up on two legs. Victor doesn’t hype it with theatrics; he sounds like a guy who’s still processing something that shattered his sense of reality. The emotional anguish comes through so strongly — you can hear how it changed how he sees the world and cryptids forever.
Host Shane Grove lets Victor tell the story naturally, which makes it even more immersive. This isn’t just another “big scary monster” tale — it raises haunting questions: Was it passing through? Defending territory? Or did it have a personal interest in Victor? The stalking over multiple nights adds a layer of dread that sticks with you.
If you like your paranormal encounters grounded, detailed, and emotionally heavy (the kind that makes you double-check your doors at night), this is must-listen. One of the most disturbing Dogman episodes they’ve featured. Highly recommend.
